BAPM is forming several working groups to develop a series of complementary QI toolkits to support Perinatal Optimisation. These will target key NNAP measures.

Toolkit 1: Prenatal Optimisation: Place of Birth, Steroids, Magnesium
Toolkit 2: Deferred Cord Clamping
Toolkit 3: Maternal Breastmilk

Each toolkit will:
a.     Provide the evidence base for effective interventions
b.     Facilitate units in interrogating their own data and processes in order to undertake selected quality improvement activities suited to the local context
c.     Assist units in interpreting and monitoring the results of their QI activities
d.     Provide and signpost resources to facilitate QI in the area of focus.

BAPM seeks members who have specific QI expertise in any of the toolkit areas including leadership or development of a QI programme that has resulted in sustained change, locally or regionally. It is expected that the work will be carried out electronically between December 2019 and May 2020.

Please email the BAPM Office including a statement about your relevant QI experience. We will contact you after the deadline once the make-up of the groups has been agreed.

Deadline: 30 November 2019
