BAPM is forming a working group to develop a Framework for Practice on the Provision of Family Integrated Care in the Neonatal Unit.

This Framework for Practice aims to provide guidance on the implementation of a family centred approach to care in the neonatal unit (so called family integrated care). The working group will review existing evidence and examples of good practice drawn from a variety of neonatal settings (NICU / LNU / SCU) both nationally and internationally. This work will inform the development of a series of recommendations that individual units and networks can use as a basis for the implementation and ongoing provision of family integrated care (FIC).

The first meeting will be held on 28 January in London 11:00-15:00. Reasonable travel expenses will be covered.

If you are a current BAPM member and would like to volunteer to be on the working group please email the BAPM Office including a 1-2 paragraph statement about your relevant experience and interest by 30 November 2019.
