Two reports providing a powerful insight into general paediatric, and neonatal services and workforce across the UK have now been launched.
The snapshot surveys, a collaboration between the RCPCH and Getting it Right First Time (GIRFT), was carried out in September 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. They reveal regional variation, act as a benchmark, and provide insight for winter planning and recovery of paediatric services.
The neonatal snapshot has some particular recommendations around specific medical staffing activity and staff wellbeing. Questions about the reports should be sent to the RCPCH workforce team.
