BAPM is seeking two members to join a working group to develop a revised framework for practice on palliative care. The original BAPM Palliative Care framework was published in 2010 and is being refreshed in line with current practice and relevant external guidance.
About Palliative Care
Perinatal palliative care is the care delivered to babies and their families during antenatal, neonatal and transition periods. It includes care pathways to help deliver supportive care, parallel care, end of life care, post death care and bereavement care. A number of different clinical services and agencies are involved in perinatal palliative care.
About the role
Vacancies on the group are:
- 1 neonatal AHP
- 1 neonatal psychology professional
No previous experience of BAPM working groups is required and applications from BAPM members will be given priority.
It is likely that this work will take around six months and include 2-3 virtual meetings. Group members will be asked to review and contribute to the draft framework.
To apply please complete the application form and return to the BAPM Office by 3 May.
Please see our 'How to apply for a BAPM Group' guide for more guidance.
