BAPM has been invited to send a representative to help develop a suite of materials for parents and health care professionals on the role of parental touch in supporting babies during painful procedures. The materials will use the research from a Bliss funded research project run by Prof Rebeccah Slater in Oxford on the measurement and management of pain in premature babies.
The representative would join the ‘Parental Touch’ project, managed by Bliss, to support with the development of video and written resources. All work will take place between now and September 2023 and meetings conducted online. We also ask that the representative provide brief reports to the BAPM Executive Committee about the project.
If you would like to represent BAPM this group then please email the BAPM Office by 31 May and include 1-2 paragraphs explaining your interest.
