BAPM is seeking parents or carers to join a working group to develop some guidance to help health care professionals providing pain relief for babies on the neonatal unit. The guidance will be aimed at health care professionals but it is very important to us that our documents are written in partnership with parents and carers.

As the parent or carer representative you would be invited to attend online working group meetings, be asked to share your views and experiences and to comment on the document as it is developed. No previous experience of BAPM working groups is required.

We expect that this work will take approximately eight months and involve six virtual meetings. It is not compulsory that you attend all meetings as you can stay engaged with the group via email. Please see attached terms of reference for more details. Unfortunately we are not able to pay representatives for their contribution at this time but it is something we are looking into for the future.

To apply please complete the application form by 26 July 2024.
