BAPM has been notified of three cases of the Vygon Antimicrobial Expert Umbilical Catheter snapping. While we are not currently aware of any direct harm as a result, there is potential of harm. Please contact the manufacturer if you experience any problems

BAPM also strongly advises you to send in a Yellow Card report for medical device issues for these products.

Vygon have responded to say we thoroughly investigate all complaints/incidents reported to us and we have not identified any manufacturing-related causes to date.
