Standardising intravenous infusion concentrations in children in the UK
NPPG and RCPCH proposal for a national approach for standardised intravenous infusion concentrations in children.
The Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacist Group (NPPG), with support from the Royal College of Paediatrics of Child Health (RCPCH) has produced a proposal for a national approach for standardised intravenous infusion concentrations in children for infants over 2kg.
The NPPG and BAPM have worked together to update this framework and introduce standardised intravenous infusion concentrations for babies less than 2kg for the most commonly used neonatal infusions.
