This webinar will provide an introduction to the BAPM Toolkit ‘Optimal Cord Management in Preterm Babies’. The webinar will outline the principles of Optimal Cord Management in all preterm babies less than 34 weeks gestation (defined by waiting at least 60 seconds before clamping the umbilical cord) and detail the supporting evidence for the recommendations. We will hear from those that had successes in this area and there will also be a live Q&A at the end focused on supporting those that wish to implement the recommendations in their unit.
